Making a Traffic Light for a Game
Today I’m breaking down my workflow I used to build a Traffic Light for my upcoming traffic puzzle game.
This is the third video in my game dev log series. In this video I breakdown, step by step, my thought process and progression from 3D modelling the ligh, UV Mapping, smoothing in Blender. Then, importing the .fbx file into Unreal Engine. With the help of some handy custom made masks, an “LED Panel” material is made to simulate a real light. Finally, I setup the logic in a Finite State Machine with Unreal Blueprints.
